FSA Tourisme, GT Light: David Chiche and Team CDRS Crowned at Lédenon with the Ligier JS2 R
On September 13–14, 2025, the Lédenon Circuit hosted the fifth round of the FFSA French Touring Car Championship. Despite changing weather conditions, with rain on Saturday and sunshine on Sunday, a large crowd turned out for the Lédenon Racing Series and the battle for the titles. In the GT Light category, David Chiche and Team CDRS clinched both the Drivers' and Teams' titles with the Ligier JS2 R.
David Chiche, the culmination
Vice-champion in 2024, David Chiche (Ligier JS2 R/Team CDRS) had made his goal clear at the start of the season: to win the national crown. Mission accomplished, one round before the end of the season. With a victory on Saturday in the rain and three more podium finishes over the weekend, he secured the 2025 FFSA French Touring Car Championship GT Light title and will head into the Paul Ricard finale with peace of mind.
Stéphane Codet in the spotlight
His teammate Stéphane Codet (Ligier JS2 R/Team CDRS) stood out with three victories, including one thanks to a spectacular overtake in Race 3. An impressive weekend, only marred by an off-track excursion in the rain on Saturday.
Promising rookies and strong outsiders
The Lédenon round also saw the impressive debut of Romain Duqueine (Ligier JS2 R/Duc Racing), who shared the wheel with his father Vincent. Starting from pole in Races 1 and 3, he narrowly lost out to Stéphane Codet but still collected several podiums.
Still in contention for the runner-up title, Laurent Joubert (Ligier JS2 R/J'Nov Racing by JSB) scored two podiums and remains a serious challenger heading into the Paul Ricard finale.
The Ligier JS2 R, once again GT Light champion
This crown marks the third consecutive GT Light title for a Ligier JS2 R team in TC France, and the second in a row for Team CDRS. With its performance, accessibility, and reliability, the Ligier JS2 R once again proves to be a winning formula in national GT racing.
On the road to the final
With the titles already secured for David Chiche and Team CDRS, the final round at the Paul Ricard Circuit (October 3–5) will determine the battle for runner-up spots and the last podium positions in GT Light.
