This sports prototype eligible for the CN category has a 6-speed sequential Sadev gearbox, and is available with either a 2-litre Honda engine or a 1.6-litre Peugeot turbo, both putting out 255 bhp.

The Ligier JS 53 EVO 2 has scored numerous victories, in particular in the V de V Endurance Series, the Asian Le Mans Series and the Italian Sports Prototype Championship. It is also used in hill climbs races.
