Championnat de France FFSA Tourisme, Dijon: the Ligier JS2 R excels in Burgundy.
From September 13 to 15, 2024, the Dijon-Prenois circuit hosted the fifth round of the Championnat de France FFSA Tourisme 2024. In both qualifying and races, the Ligier JS2 R once again played a leading role in the GT Light category, with three wins and a podium finish, shared between the #29 of David Chiche (Team CDRS) and the #89 of Nicco Ferrarin (AGS Events).
- For this penultimate meeting of the season in Burgundy, only two Ligier JS2 Rs were entered: the #29 of Team CDRS with David Chiche and the #89 of AGS Events with Nicco Ferrarin.
- In the first free practice session, David Chiche set a best time of 1:24.633, placing him in the top 4 overall and second in the GT Light class. In free practice 2, Nicco Ferrarin clocked the absolute fastest time of the session in 1:23.189.
- At the end of the two qualifying sessions, Nicco Ferrarin placed the #89 AGS Events LigierJS2 R fifth and then fourth overall, and second and first in GT Light.
Team CDRS still leading the GT Light standings
- Throughout the four races, the two Ligier JS2 Rs never left the GT Light top 3.
- Nicco Ferrarin and AGS Events scored the best result of the weekend with the Ligier JS2 R, taking double victory in races 2 and 4. Their second victory even earned them second place on the overall podium. They finished third in Race 1 and second in Race 2.
- Team CDRS and David Chiche finished second in race 2 before taking another GT Light victory in race 2. They finished the weekend third in race 4.
- Team CDRS maintains its lead in the GT Ligier Team standings with 371 points. AGS Events is third with 259 points. While the Teams title is now out of reach, AGS Events continues to fight for the runner-up spot.
- In the GT Light Drivers' standings, David Chiche and Nicco Ferrarin are neck and neck. Only 13 points separate the two drivers. The 2024 GT Light Drivers' crown will be decided at the end the season.
From October 4 to 6, the Circuit du Castellet will host the sixth and final round of the FFSA Tourisme 2024 French Championship.
