European Le Mans Series: Racing Spirit of Léman and COOL Racing score a double Ligier JS P320 podium at Le Castellet!

The European Le Mans Series season resumed on Saturday 15th July on the Paul Ricard circuit at Le Castellet. The #31 Racing Spirit of Léman Ligier JS P320 clinched victory in the second round of the championship. COOL Racing's #17 finished third and retained the lead in the provisional standings. A look-back at the weekend spent under the Var sunshine.

• Six Ligier JS P320s dominated the LMP3 field in free practice 1 on Friday 14th July. Inter Europol Competition's #13 (Miguel Cristóvão, Kay Askey and Wyatt Brichacek ) posted the fastest time in 1:50.542s.

• On Saturday 15th July, the #10 Eurointernational Ligier JS P320 (Mathias Luethen and Glenn Van Berlo) set the fastest lap in 1:51.310s ahead of five other Ligier JS P320s!

• The start of the 4 Hours of Le Castellet was given on Sunday 16th July at 11:30. The #17 COOL Racing Ligier JS P320 (Adrien Chila, Marcos Siebert and Alejandro Garcia) that qualified in fifth place fought its way up to second during the first hour. In the second, Eurointernational's #10 momentarily snatched the lead.

• In the third hour of the race, the #31 Racing Spirit of Léman Ligier JS P320 took first place in the LMP3 category, which it held until the chequered flag. COOL Racing's #17 Ligier JS P320 came home third. One of the drivers of #17, Marcos Siebert, set the fastest lap in the race in 1:52.682s.

• These results narrowed the gaps at the top of the provisional standings. If the #17 COOL Racing Ligier JS P320 is still in the lead with 41 points, only one point now separates it from the #31 entered by Racing Spirit of Léman!

The next round will take place in Aragon on 26th August. And this time, the Ligier JS P320s will be racing at night!
