Ligier Automotive at Epoqu’Auto 2025: Between Heritage and Innovation, a Tribute to Over 55 Years of Passion
November 7–9, 2025 – Eurexpo Lyon, Hall 6
For the first time, Ligier Automotive will officially take part in the Epoqu'Auto show, one of the major gatherings for historic car enthusiasts. From November 7 to 9, 2025, the French constructor will showcase an exceptional lineup of eleven cars, retracing more than half a century of history, innovation, and competition. A journey through time featuring historic F1 cars, endurance sports prototypes, iconic GTs, and the brand-new Ligier JS F326 single-seater, unveiled for the first time at a show.
An Exceptional Lineup: 11 Cars to Tell a Story
In Hall 6, the Ligier stand will take visitors on a journey through time with a unique selection of models representing the brand's major milestones.
The Historic Formula 1 Cars
The Ligier JS9, JS11/15, JS17, JS27, and JS33B will recall the greatest moments of the French team's Grand Prix history, those podiums and victories that made the Ligier blue shine on racetracks around the world.
The GTs and Sports Prototypes
The BP-liveried Ligier JS2 and the road-going Ligier JS2 symbols of elegance and performance from the 1970s will be joined by the Ligier JS2 R, their modern heir, developed for customer racing and track day use.
Alongside them, the Ligier JS P2, the first endurance car developed after Jacques Nicolet took over the brand, and the Ligier JS P3, the first Ligier LMP3 in history, will illustrate Ligier's triumphant return to endurance racing.
“I have a special emotional connection to the birth of the JS P2 and JS P3,” says Jacques Nicolet, President of Ligier Automotive. “Guy Ligier had the time to follow their development and appreciate their sporting and commercial success. He was happy, and I believe it allowed him to leave fully reassured about the future of the brand he had founded. For me, it is a tremendous honor to continue this story with the same spirit, the same high standards, and above all, the same passion.”
The New Generation
Finally, the Ligier JS F326, the new FIA Formula Regional 2026 single-seater, will embody the continuity between history and the future, a symbol of the technological expertise and passion that still drive the Ligier Automotive teams today.
Some of these cars will be displayed thanks to the support of private collectors, reflecting the deep attachment enthusiasts have to the brand's heritage.
Ligier's Heritage Highlighted by the Classic Department
This participation in Epoqu'Auto will showcase Ligier Classic, the department dedicated to restoring, maintaining, and promoting the brand's historic models. From Formula 1 cars to endurance prototypes, the Ligier Classic teams bring back to life the vehicles that have shaped the history of French motorsport.
In that same spirit of transmission, Ligier is supporting the revival of certain models on tracks such as the Ligier JS P2, which will return to competition in the new Legends of Le Mans, launched in 2026 by Peter Auto and the ACO.
“Taking part in Epoqu'Auto means sharing more than fifty years of history and passion with those who keep the memory of motorsport alive,” comments Jacques Nicolet. “At Ligier Automotive, we are committed to building a bridge between past and future: restoring and celebrating our iconic cars while continuing the technological innovation that shapes the Ligier's of tomorrow.”
Two Conferences to Trace Ligier's History and Renewal
Throughout the weekend, Jacques Nicolet and Michel Beaujon, former Chief Engineer of the brand and President of the Club Ligier Légende, will host two conferences dedicated to Ligier's history and revival.
On Friday, November 7, from 2:00 to 2:45 pm, the first conference, “Designing a race car in 1981 and in 2026: the Ligier JS17 and the Ligier JS F326,” will explore the technological and human evolution that bridges more than four decades of engineering and racing passion.
On Saturday, November 8, during the same time slot, the second conference, “Ligier at the 24 Hours of Le Mans: the second place of the Ligier JS2 in 1975 and the Ligier JS P2 in 2014,” will revisit two milestone moments in the brand's endurance racing story.
Two special opportunities for enthusiasts to dive into Ligier's heritage, expertise, and forward-looking vision.
A Lively Stand and an Exclusive Surprise
In addition to this exceptional lineup, visitors will be able to explore the Ligier boutique and its range of merchandise celebrating the brand's universe.
A special surprise, perfectly in tune with the show's theme, will also await enthusiasts a unique nod to the link between past and present, to be revealed to the public just before the event.
