Ligier JS P3X: Ten Years of LMP3, Ten Outstanding Models to Celebrate a Decade of Success

On June 11, 2025, Ligier Automotive unveils the Ligier JS P3X at the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit. A special anniversary series, limited to ten units, to celebrate the ten-year milestone of Ligier's first LMP3, the JS P3. A tribute to a decade of passion and performance that began alongside Guy Ligier in 2015.

Ten Years of Ligier LMP3: A Human and Racing Journey

On June 11, 2015, at the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit, Jacques Nicolet—then President of Onroak Automotive and the OAK Racing team*—introduced the company's first LMP3, the Ligier JS P3. This moment marked a new chapter in Ligier's return to endurance racing, less than a year after the competition debut of the Ligier JS P2, Ligier's first LMP2 prototype.

“This launch remains one of the most unforgettable moments in our history. We had taken a major step forward with the LMP2, and the LMP3 was the logical next phase in our commitment to building an ambitious, accessible endurance racing ladder. Standing beside Guy Ligier that day, watching him pass on the passion and determination that define the brand's DNA one final time, was deeply moving,” recalls Jacques Nicolet, President of Ligier Automotive.

Since then, each generation of Ligier LMP3 has been revealed at the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe: the Ligier JS P3 in 2015, the JS P320 in 2019, the JS P325 in 2024, and now, the JS P3X.

An Undeniable Success Story

Since 2015, Ligier Automotive has established itself as the benchmark in LMP3 racing. The Ligier JS P3 launched the momentum: 100 cars sold in just two years and 18 titles won between 2015 and 2019 across all major LMP3 series.

The success only grew with the Ligier JS P320:

- 31 LMP3 titles won since 2020,

- Victories at top endurance events, including the 24 Hours of Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring, and Petit Le Mans,

- Continued dominance in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS), Michelin Le Mans Cup (MLMC), Asian Le Mans Series, IMSA, Ultimate Cup Series, Endurance Brasil, and more.

In 2025, the Ligier JS P325 takes over with a spectacular competition debut: pole positions, race wins, and all-Ligier podiums in the opening rounds of ELMS and MLMC at Barcelona and Le Castellet, plus 31 entries for Road to Le Mans.

Ligier JS P3X: A Limited-Edition Anniversary Model

To mark this decade of success, Ligier Automotive introduces the Ligier JS P3X—an exclusive model based on the Ligier JS P320, limited to just ten units.

“The Ligier JS P3X embodies everything we've learned over ten years of LMP3 racing: a pure blend of performance, design, and passion. It honors our legacy and looks to our future,” says Jacques Nicolet.

Why “X”? For 10 units. For exceptional. The JS P3X is both a technical and visual tribute to the Ligier LMP3 line.

Hypercar Looks, Boosted Performance, Pure Driving Emotion

Under the hood, the Ligier JS P3X features a 625-horsepower GM LT1 V8 engine.
With more than 155 extra horsepower compared to current LMP3s, the Ligier JS P3X underwent extensive aerodynamic development. The front end has been redesigned with a new splitter, optimized wheel arches, and a hood inspired by LMP2 styling. At the rear, a new engine cover—evoking the spirit of Hypercars—restores overall balance.

The new front hood also improves the cooling system to match the increased power.

The signature dynamic qualities of Ligier's LMP3s are retained. But with its boosted performance and the addition of an ABS system, the Ligier JS P3X is an even more capable and thrilling prototype, while remaining accessible and enjoyable to drive.

“With the JS P3X, we set out to create an even more radical car that brings together the best of all three LMP3 generations. It delivers greater performance while keeping an intuitive driving feel. It's a true driver's gem,” adds Jacques Nicolet.

A Collector's Item

The Ligier JS P3X is more than just performance. It comes with:

- Exclusive liveries for each chassis, in ten unique colors,

- A spare front end and two sets of wheels,

- A personalized B.R.M Chronographes watch in the car's colors, with the model name on the dial and the chassis number engraved on the back.

A one-of-a-kind model. A true endurance racing legacy. A decade of passion.

The Ligier JS P3X: the ultimate tribute to the Ligier LMP3 story.
