Michelin Le Mans Cup 2026: 29 Ligier JS P325 on the Grid
The 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup entry list confirms Ligier's central role in the LMP3 category. With 29 Ligier JS P325 cars entered—up from 26 in 2025—the French manufacturer's third-generation sports-prototype further strengthens its presence across the championship, both overall and in PRO/AM. This momentum is driven by the loyalty of teams committed since the car's competition debut, as well as the arrival of new entrants attracted by the Ligier JS P325.
Growing Ligier Presence
For the 2026 season, 29 Ligier JS P325 cars are set to line up on the Michelin Le Mans Cup grid, with 19 competing in the overall classification and 10 in PRO/AM. This increase compared to 2025 underlines the strong appeal of Ligier's third-generation LMP3 chassis.
Introduced to competition in 2025, the Ligier JS P325 continues its development with the teams from its inaugural season returning with the same chassis, while also welcoming new teams joining the Ligier LMP3 platform.
A Successful Competition Debut
In 2025, Ligier teams left a strong mark on the championship by locking out the top seven positions in the PRO/AM standings, with the title secured by Motorsport98. The driver pairing of Eric de Doncker and Gillian Henrion claimed the crown after a well-controlled season, with Henrion continuing an exemplary career trajectory following his titles in the Ligier European Series (2022) and the Michelin Le Mans Cup (2023), as well as a third-place finish in the ELMS LMP3 standings in 2024.
In the overall classification, the Ligier JS P325 also proved its competitiveness, finishing from second through seventh in the championship and confirming the chassis' strong all-around performance.
New Teams Join the Ligier Family in 2026
The 2026 season welcomes several new teams choosing the Ligier JS P325.
Spanish outfit Campos Racing, an international reference in single-seaters (FIA Formula 2, FIA Formula 3, F1 Academy, Eurocup-3, Spanish F4), joins forces with Brutal Fish Racing Team to make its LMP3 debut, entering two Ligier JS P325 cars.
Another new entrant, Trajectus Motorsport, led by Benoît Tréluyer, also steps up to LMP3. Already involved in the Ligier JS Cup France and the Ligier European Series, the team naturally continues its journey with the Ligier JS P325.
In PRO/AM, the Belgian team Ajith Redant Racing is making its debut in the championship with the Ligier JS P325, driven by former Indian F1 driver Narain Karthikeyan and his teammate, Tamil actor Ajith Kumar, who are already competing in a Ligier JS P325 in the Asian Le Mans Series.
Finally, the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup marks the return of RLR to the championship with Vector Sport RLR, which enters the latest generation Ligier LMP3 for the first time in the series.
The championship will kick off in Barcelona with the official collective test on April 8.
