Prototype Cup Germany, Hockenheim: Konrad Motorsport’s Ligier JS P320 leads the championship.
The second meeting of the Prototype Cup Germany 2025 took place at the Hockenheim circuit from May 9 to 11, 2025. Of the nine LMP3 cars entered, only two Ligier JS P320s were on the grid. Despite the low numbers, they shone with two more podium results for Konrad Motorsport, which retains the championship lead thanks to the duo of Danny Soufi and Pavel Lefterov.
Race 1: A spectacular comeback for Konrad Motorsport
The first race of the weekend was full of twists and turns and came down to the very last corner. Danny Soufi and Pavel Lefterov (Konrad Motorsport Ligier JS P320 #2), who had started from the back of the grid after being disqualified in qualifying, made a spectacular recovery to second place.
"I struggled with oversteer in the first five laps, until I adapted to it", explained Danny Soufi. "Plus, the asphalt was quite slippery. As such, it was not easy to make progress from the back of the field, as overtaking is not particularly easy at this circuit. In the end we were lucky to finish second, thanks to the incident involving the drivers ahead of us.”
"At the end, I was in the right place at the right time, which allowed me to climb into second place", added Pavel Lefterov. " I have to admit that there was a lot of luck involved. As I approached the corner, I saw a car to my left and my right, and nothing but smoke in the middle of the track. However, I had to go somewhere, and fortunately the middle was clear."

Race 2: Konrad Motorsport confirms podium finish.
Danny Soufi and Pavel Lefterov, at the wheel of their Konrad Motorsport Ligier JS P320 #2, followed up with a second-place finish in the fourth race of the season.
"That was not an easy first stint," said Pavel Lefterov. "We did not have the top speed we needed to attack the car in front. However, Danny did then manage to climb into second place and secure some valuable points for us."
"No sooner had I taken the wheel than a Full Course Yellow phase was launched," comments Danny Soufi. "Towards the end of the race, I was able to come out on top in my battle for second place with Michael Herich."
