Tourism Endurance Trophy: The Ligier JS2 R continues to shine in Dijon thanks to the Of Course Compétition team!
All good things come in threes for the Ligier JS2 R. On Sunday 9th July, #99 run by Of Course Compétition won the race (as well as the Ligier JS2 R Trophy) in the fourth meeting of the Endurance Tourism Trophy on the Dijon-Prenois circuit.
• On Sunday 9th July, Of Course Compétition's Ligier JS2 R #99 (Alexis Anthony, Thomas Becker and Luc Remmy) bagged pole in the Ligier JS2 R Trophy category with the fastest lap in 1:23.446s, which was also the second best time overall.
• The start of the four-hour race was given in the early afternoon. After the first hour, the #64 Extrême Limite Ligier JS2 R (Marc Bonnet and Benjamin Redais) was second overall and first in the Trophy ahead of Of Course Compétition's #99. But the latter took the overall lead in the second hour, which it held to the finish, clinching outright victory by a lap as well as winning the Ligier JS2 R Trophy.
• The #14 Lemal Racing Ligier JS2 R (Frédéric Alves, Olivier Lemaire and Maxence Alves Conde) finished second in the Trophy while HMC Racing's #35 (Xavier Cousin and Eric Mary) came home third. The two teams scored their first podiums on their first outing in the TTE.
• The #64 Extrême Limite Ligier JS2 R remains in the lead of the Ligier JS2 R Trophy with 540 points. But only 20 points now separate it from #99 run by Of Course Compétition.
The next TTE race will take place on the Magny-Cours circuit on 23 – 24 September.
