Trophée Tourisme Endurance, Lédenon: two one-twos for the Ligier JS2 R

Located around twenty kilometres from Nîmes (Gard), the Lédenon circuit hosted the second round of the 2024 Trophée Tourisme Endurance (TTE) on 3 and 4 May. As in the season opener at Magny-Cours, the Of Course Compétition and Extrême Limite teams finished first and second in the TTE Pirelli Series event.

- For this second 2024 event, the #99 Of Course Compétition and #64 Extrême Limite Ligier JS2 R featured revised crews. Manuel Roeckel-Zimpfer, who teamed up with Alexis Anthony at Magny-Cours, was joined at this round by Antoni de Barn and Luc Remmy at the wheel of the #99. Swiss kart driver Etienne Aebischer made his motor racing debut in the #64, taking over from Benjamin Redais alongside Marc Bonnet.

- Second on the grid, the #99 Ligier JS2 R was initially at the heart of a three-way battle for first place with two Toyota Supras, before taking the lead for good shortly before the halfway mark. It then extended its lead.

- Qualifying fourth, the #64 was delayed by a puncture at the start of the race. Starting from last, she made a superb comeback. Bonnet and Aebischer finished on the second step of the podium behind the victorious trio of Roeckel-Zimpfer / de Barn / Remmy, who also claimed the fastest lap of the four hours of competition.

- Fifth overall, the #35 Ligier of Xavier Cousin and Eric Mary (HMC Racing) completed the podium in the JS2 R Trophy.

- In the TTE Pirelli Light, the JS2 R also shone with another one-two finish. In the #127 Duc Racing car, Romain and Vincent Duqueine took victory. They also distinguished themselves in qualifying, with the third fastest time (1.27:100) in all categories. They were followed in the race by the #503 Bailly Sport JS2 R, driven by Benoît Bailly.

The next round of the TTE Pirelli Series will take place from July 3 to 5 on the Dijon-Prenois circuit.
