TTE Dijon: one win and four podiums for the Ligier JS2 R
Held at the Dijon-Prenois circuit from July 5 to 7, the third round of the Trophée Tourisme Endurance (TTE) saw the Ligier JS2 R continue its winning streak in the TTE Pirelli Series, with another one-two finish and a third consecutive success in 2024 for the Of Course Compétition team and its drivers Alexis Anthony, Jean-Christophe David and Luc Remmy.
Extrême Limite's #64 Ligier JS2 R, Of Course Competition's main opponent in the TTE Pirelli Series in 2023 and at the start of the 2024 season, was absent from the Burgundy meeting. In qualifying, Of Course Competition's #99 Ligier JS2 R claimed TTE Pirelli Series pole position with a time of 1:24.616. One year after its debut in the Trophée Tourisme Endurance on the same Dijon-Prenois circuit, the Lemal Racing team celebrated its anniversary with the second fastest time for the #14 Ligier JS2 R of Olivier Lemaire, Florian Baloche and Frédéric Alves, just 8 tenths off the pace (1:24.703).
Toyota took the lead early in the race. The #99 and #14 were in second and third place respectively after the first two hours, before the Of Course Compétition Ligier JS2 R regained the lead through a series of pit stops in the third hour. Then, in the final hour, the #14 moved up to second place.
The Ligier JS2 R thus scored its third one-two finish in as many rounds since the start of the 2024 season.
The Ligier JS2 R also put in a fine performance in the TTE Pirelli Light, with all three cars finishing in the top 5. Benoît Bailly (#503, Bailly Sport) won a duel with Vincent and Romain Duqueine (#127, Duc Racing), who had beaten him in the previous round at Lédenon. The double podium was rounded off by fourth place for Jean Laget and Guillaume Perraud on TM Evolution's #880.
After the summer break, the next round of the TTE Pirelli Series will take place from September 6 to 8 on the Val de Vienne circuit.
