TTE, Val de Vienne : Double victory for the JS2 R
The fourth round of the Trophée Tourisme Endurance (TTE) was held from September 6 to 8 on the Val de Vienne circuit. In the #14 Ligier JS2 R, Olivier Lemaire, Maxence Alves-Conde and Frédéric Alves scored the first victory of the season for the Lemal Racing team in the TTE Pirelli Series. In TTE Light, another Ligier team took the win, TM Evolution with the #880 Ligier JS2 R of Guillaume Perraud and Jean Laget.
Five Ligier JS2 Rs were on the entry list for the return to the track of the Trophée Tourisme Endurance after a two-month summer break,: two in TTE Pirelli Series and three in TTE Pirelli Light.
The Ligier JS2 R asserted its supremacy right from qualifying by monopolizing the front row, with the #99 OF COURSE Competition Ligier JS2 R (1:42.908), already victorious in the first three rounds of this 2024 season, followed by the #14 Lemal Racing Ligier JS2 R (1:43.131).
Best time in TTE Pirelli Light in 1:45.037, the #127 of Romain and Vincent Duqueine (Duc Racing) set the absolute fifth fastest time, positioning itself on the third row of the starting grid.
Over the course of the four-hour race, the Ligier teams never left the top of the timesheets. Leading from pole, Jean-Christophe David, Antoni Debarn and Manuel Roeckel-Zimpfer (#99 OF COURSE Competition Ligier JS2 R) seemed on course for another victory until a collision in traffic necessitated a lengthy pit stop.
Restarting eighth, four laps down, the #99 Ligier JS2 R crossed the finish line fourth with the fastest lap of the race (1:43.341). The #14 Ligier JS2 R finished one lap ahead of the second-placed car.
In TTE Pirelli Light, the Perraud / Laget duo at the wheel of TM Evolution's #880 and Benoît Bailly, solo at the wheel of BAILLY Sport's #503, gave the French manufacturer a one-two finish.
The next round of the TTE Pirelli Series takes place on October 5 and 6 at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium.
