Ultimate Cup Series, Portimão: The Ligier JS P320 Takes the Win and Tops the Standings with Bretton Racing
The Ligier JS P320 continues to play leading roles in the European Sprint Prototype Cup. At Portimão, from May 29 to June 1, during the third event of the 2025 season, Ligier Automotive's second-generation LMP3 prototype scored a double win with the #26 Bretton Racing Ligier JS P320.
From qualifying, the #26 Ligier JS P320 made a strong statement. Ben Stone grabbed pole position for Race 1. In the race, he and teammate Ewan Thomas imposed themselves with authority, before repeating the feat in the second race. The double win gave the British duo a major boost to their season.
Right behind them, the #4 ARC Bratislava Ligier JS P320 showed strong consistency. With Adam Konopka behind the wheel, the car finished third overall in Race 1 and moved up to second in Race 2. The Slovak driver also claimed back-to-back wins in the Pro class, taking over the top spot in the Pro standings.
In the Am class, Miro Konopka, driving the #44 ARC Bratislava Ligier JS P320, kept his perfect season alive with another victory in Race 1. Despite being forced to retire in Race 2, he still holds the lead in the overall Am championship with six wins in six starts.
The fourth round of the European Sprint Prototype Cup is set to take place from October 9 to 12 at the Magny-Cours circuit.
