Friday 29th April. The #103 PCR Sport Ligier JS2 R (Juan Andujar and Francesc Gutierrez) topped the two free practice sessions in the GPX category setting the two fastest times in 1:55.115s and then 1:54.247s respectively.

The next day, the Ligier JS2 R clinched pole position in the GPX category for race 1. Juan Andujar set the fastest time in the category in 1:53.018s, four seconds quicker than his nearest rival! The pole for race 2 escaped #103 by only 0.565s!

The first race began later on in the afternoon. The #103 Ligier JS2 R was fighting for the lead until it was tagged by one of its rivals. It crossed the line in second place of the GPX cars setting the fastest time in 1:52.884s (the fastest lap of the weekend). The GT finished 9th overall.

The second race took place on Sunday 1st May. This time the #103 Ligier JS2 R had an untroubled run and led the race from start to finish. It won its category with a lap in hand over its nearest pursuer and once again set the fastest lap in the race in 1:53.629s. It scored another ninth place overall finish.

“I'm very happy with how the weekend went and the performance of the car in our category. We must take in consideration that they are GT4 models with superior performance and in a circuit where power commands a lot and even so we were the fastest throughout the weekend. In the first race they hit my partner and that made us lose more than 1 minute. Even so, we were able to cut almost everything, but we finished second, 7 tenths behind the winner. In the second race, without incident, we were able to win the category and finished P9  in the general classification ahead of much superior cars. We hope to continue along this good line at the next meeting in Motorland,” summed up Gutierrez

The third round of the championship will be held on the Motorland Aragon circuit on 25 - 26 June.
