F4 U.S. Championship, Mosport: perfect weekend for Daniel Quimby

The fourth and penultimate round of the F4 U.S. Championship 2024 was held in Mosport, Canada, from August 29 to September 1. The championship marked its return after a seven-year absence and offered the Ligier JS F422 its first meeting on Canadian soil. Daniel Quimby won all three races at the wheel of Atlantic Racing Team's #24 Ligier JS F422, moving up to the second place in the provisional classification and becoming the season's most successful driver with five wins.

Race 1: Daniel Quimby overcomes difficult track conditions for his third victory.

- After three formation laps behind the Safety Car on a track drying out after several showers, Daniel Quimby (#24 Ligier JS F422, Atlantic Racing Team) held on to his pole position. He led until a neutralization brought the race to a premature end.

- Second on the grid, Nicolas Stati (#15 Ligier JS F422, Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport) retained this position, as did Connor Roberts (#46 Ligier JS F422, Team Roberts Racing) for third place.

- With only five laps to go under the green flag, half the points were awarded.

- Quimby, who had escaped at the front, won the race by more than 13 seconds.

- Daniel Quimby took off once again at the start and claimed his fifth victory of the season.

“It was an awesome weekend,” said Quimby after exiting the car. “Both Connor [Roberts] and Nicolas [Stati]—everyone was pretty quick this weekend. Atlantic [Racing Team] did a great job; the car's been awesome.”

- Fourth on the grid, Roberts climbed up to second place, after getting the better of Stati. The latter suffered a wheel lock which cost him a further place, but he managed to take the third step of the podium from Crosbie, by a margin of just 0.158.

- Four drivers remain in contention for the title: in overall order Nicolas Stati, Daniel Quimby, Connor Roberts and Alex Crosbie.
