Out of the twelve LM P3s running, eleven Ligier JS P3s are participating in this event. The purpose of this off-season race: four hours of endurance to have fun! For Ligier, this is also the opportunity to attend the first endurance race of Kyle Kirkwood and Dakota Dickerson - the winners of the F3 Americas and F4 U.S. Championship - on a Ligier JS P3.

The IMSA Prototype Challenge, the European Le Mans Series, the LM P3 Cup and the V de V Endurance Series championships ended on a high note for the Ligier JS P3 with four LM P3 titles. With the LM P3 Asian Le Mans Series title, Ligier has clinched a total of five LM P3 titles in 2018. Fast, competitive and reliable, the Ligier JS P3 won 26 races out of 34 in these five championships.

In the Asian Le Mans Series: 4 races, 4 victories with 100% Ligier podium except in Fuji where 2 Ligier JS P3s finished in the top 3.

The Ligier JS P3s  are well represented for the Michelin IMSA SportsCar Encore race, with eleven Ligier JS P3s out of the twelve LM P3s running. This race is special for Ligier. Reigning F3 Americas champion Kyle Kirkwood and Formula 4 U.S. Championship Dakota Dickerson are trading in their championship-winning single-seater Ligier JS F3 and JS F4 for a Ligier JS P3 sports prototype.

Kyle Kirkwood, winner of the F4 U.S. Championship in 2017, clinched the F3 Americas Championship in 2018 on a single-seater Ligier JS F3. He left his rivals little chance as he won 15 of the 17 races!

Making his sportscar debut this weekend, Kirkwood will be paired to Roman De Angelis piloting the #3 Ligier JS P3 of ANSA Motorsports. While waiting to switch to a JS F3 Ligier in 2019, Dakota Dickerson, the winner of the F4 U.S. Championship, will join Jon Brownson on Ansa Motorsports #2Ligier JS P3.

Both Kyle and Dakota have proven they're fast in anything they compete in, but most importantly, they are consistent drivers who make smart decisions on the track”, said Onroak Automotive North America General Manager Max Crawford. “We are happy to provide these young, talented drivers the experience in a different Ligier.
