Ligier JS Cup France: The Orhès Ligier JS2 Rs win the overall and AM championship titles in Portimão!
The finale of the 2023 season of the Ligier JS Cup France took place at the Autódromo Internacional in the Algarve in Portugal on Saturday, 14 October. With 26 Ligier JS2 Rs entered, the last round was an action-packed one! The #139 DS / ADX entry won the overall classification, while #42 run by Orhès – Feed Racing triumphed in the AM class. The Orhès team won both championship titles with the #9 Orhès – 2M Promotion entry coming out on top in the overall classification and #42 first in the AM category.
• Friday 13 October - The #9 Ligier JS2 R run by Orhès - 2M Promotion (Mickaël Mota and Olivier Pernaut ) finished first in free practice with a lap in 1:51.325s.
• In the early afternoon, #61 entered by So 24 by LADC (Silvain Pastoris, Léo Payen and Steven Palette) took pole position by setting the fastest lap in 1:50.855s.
• The last race of the season took place in the early morning of the following day. The #139 DS /ADX JS2 R emerged victorious after four hours racing ahead of the #4 Eurodatacar entry. Into third place on the podium came the #93 Zosch – 93 Ligier.
• The Orhès – Feed Racing's #42 (Jean Maurin , Michaël Petit and Kaspara Vingilis) clinched the win in the AM category. The #63 Speboff entry (Sylvain Caroff, Vincent Roche and Stéphane Adler) crossed the finishing line in second place, while the #74 XP Racing JS2 R (Xavier Pompidou, Karl Pedraza and Ethan Pharamon) finished third.
• Mickaël Mota and Olivier Pernaut in the #9 Orhès – 2M Promotion Mat Immo car sealed the 2023 Ligier JS Cup France season's championship title with 591.5 points.
• The Orhès team again won the championship in the AM category with #42 driven by Jean Maurin, Michaël Petit and Kaspara Vingilis. The trio finished at the top of the ratings with 525.5 points.
Rendezvous next year on March 29 - 30 2024 on the Le Mans Bugatti circuit for the start of the next season of the Ligier JS Cup France.
