Ligier JS Cup France: the Zosh team wins the second round on the Dijon-Prenois circuit!

15 – 16 April 2022 – After a 2-year absence from the calendar due to the health crisis, the Ligier JS Cup France made an eagerly-awaited return to the Dijon-Prenois circuit on which the second round of the season took place over the weekend of 15 - 16 April. Twenty-one Ligier JS2 Rs set off on the  3,801-km circuit for a 4-hour race in which the #10 entered by Zosh-Di Environnement emerged victorious.

PRO-AM CATEGORY

The Zosh-Di Environnement team's #10 Ligier JS2 R driven by Jean-René Defournoux and Hugo Rosati enjoyed a perfect race scoring victory after starting from pole position and leading the race for the four hours.

Behind, a ferocious battle for second and third places raged between the drivers in the #93 Zosh Ligier JS2 R, Raphael Deschamps, Louis Marques and Julien Rodrigues, those in the #9 Orhès LBA Group Ligier JS2 R, Olivier Pernaut and Olivier Porta as well as Paul Corduan, Clément and Laurent Dub in the #22 ARC 22 – Zosh entry.

Finally, the #93 team Zosh Ligier JS2 R made the best of the situation and clinched a place on the second step of the podium joined on the third by  #9 run by the team Orhès in the race on the circuit in Burgundy.

I love this very fast circuit; it's my favourite on the calendar and I can't wait already to be at Spa for the next race.”

AM CATEGORY

The race was full of suspense in the AM category as the drivers battling for the three podium spots swapped places from start to finish! Finally, the #35 Ultimate Ligier JS2 R in the hands of François Heriau and Raphael Jallageas came out on top. The Zosh team's great weekend continued in the Am category thanks to the second place scored by the #72 4C driven by Cédric Collet, Christophe Cronier and Jean-Christophe David.

The crew of the #63 SPEBOFF entry, Sylvain Caroff, Vincent Roches and Jean-Pierre Ruffino sealed third position on the podium.

François Heriau and Raphael Jallageas, drivers of the #35 Ultimate Ligier JS2 R: ”We're very happy with our weekend at the Dijon circuit.  We're newcomers to the championship this year. We're feeling pretty good and the sensations we experienced in the car were really positive. Thanks to the work done by the team we were able to put on a consistent performance in our race and it really paid off.”

The next round will take place on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium on 13 – 14 May.
