The Eurointernational Ligier JS P3 in pole position for Road to Le Mans (1)

For its third edition, the Road to Le Mans event confirmed the format of two 55 minute races, whose grids are made up from the two consecutive 20-minute qualifying sessions. On the 13'626 km long track, covered by the quickest among them in a little over 3 minutes and 50 seconds, the 20-minute sessions do not allow for many laps to set a time in.

At the end of a first session that was heavily disrupted by yellow and red flags, the Italian team Eurointernational set the best time of 3:51.315 with the #11 Ligier JS P3. They will be leaving from pole position at 17h30 for the first of the two races of the weekend, alongside the #9 Cool Racing Norma M30, and ahead of the #2 Ecurie Ecosse / Nielsen Racing and the #22 United Autosports  Ligier JS P3.

The second session, despite being calmer and reserved for bronze drivers, didn't give the competitors much respite. The #11 once more set the best time of the 27 Ligier JS P3 cars entered this weekend: it will leave from the second row. The second Road to Le Mans race, fourth round of the Michelin Le Mans Cup, will be held at 11h30 on Saturday, before the start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
