The Ligier XC04 Confirms Its European Performance in Rallycross and Cross Car.
After a spring already marked by several wins and podium finishes in FIA Euro RX5 and European national championships, the Ligier XC04 continued its momentum in June and July. From Estonia to the United Kingdom, through Belgium and the iconic Höljes round of the FIA European Rallycross Championship, the Ligier cross car continues to stand out on a wide variety of tracks.
Reliable, high-performing and designed as a development platform, the Ligier XC04 confirms its role as a stepping stone for drivers competing in Cross Car and rallycross, while relying on a network of local partners to support teams across European markets.
A String of Podiums in Estonia
In June, the Ligier XC04 stood out in the Estonian CrossKart Rallysprint Championship at Kehala.
In Race 1, Martin Järveoja claimed victory at the wheel of the Ligier XC04, while Robert Virves completed the podium in third place. The two drivers confirmed their pace again in Race 2, with Martin Järveoja finishing second and Robert Virves once again taking third.
With one win and four podium finishes across two races, the Ligier XC04 once again demonstrated its competitiveness in a highly contested national championship.
Victory in Belgium with Kobe Pauwels
The Ligier XC04 also shone in the Belgian Rallycross Championship at Glosso. Kobe Pauwels took victory with Pauwels Motorsport at the wheel of the Ligier cross car. The win further reinforces the performances already achieved by the Ligier XC04 in Belgium.
Victory in the United Kingdom with Will Ovenden
The United Kingdom also confirms the growing momentum of the Ligier XC04. At Blyton Park, in the British Rallycross Championship, Will Ovenden won the Cross Car category at the wheel of the #5.
This success extends the strong results already achieved by the Ligier XC04 on British circuits since the start of the season and confirms the model's place at the front of the championship.
In the British and Irish markets, Ligier relies on RM Engineering, the official distributor of the Ligier XC04. Led by the expertise of James Morgan, a recognized figure in motorsport with more than ten years of experience as a professional rally co-driver, the organization supports the development of the model among local teams and drivers.
This collaboration has already helped establish the Ligier XC04 as one of the leading players in Cross Car in the United Kingdom. After Richard Rees won the BTRDA British Rallycross Championship title in 2024, followed by several wins and podiums in 2025, the three Ligier XC04s entered under the RM Engineering banner have once again been running at the front since the start of the 2026 season.
European Podium at Höljes in FIA Euro RX5
In July, the Ligier XC04 also returned to the European stage for the Höljes round of the FIA European Rallycross Championship.
At one of the most iconic events on the rallycross calendar, Volland Racing placed the #117 Ligier XC04 on the RX5 podium. Valentin Comte finished second in the category.
This result adds to the early performances recorded in FIA Euro RX5 and strengthens the presence of the Ligier XC04 within the European rallycross pyramid.
The Ligier XC04 Continues Its Development in Europe.
From Estonian rallysprints to British circuits, through the FIA European Rallycross Championship, the Ligier XC04 continues to demonstrate its versatility and its ability to perform across different competition formats.
