A Ligier JS P4 and a Ligier JS2 R at Bilster Berg with Glinicke Motorsport

On 23 - 24 October 2021, two Ligier racing cars, a Ligier JS P4 sports prototype and a Ligier JS2 R GT, made their debut with Glinicke Motorsport on the Bilster Berg circuit in Germany during a couple of test days. And Glinicke Motorsport isn't stopping there. In 2022, it intends to have its clients discover the Ligier JS P4 over around 15 test days.

Hans Glinicke created the Glinicke Group in 1930 and it is now one of the major players in the car sector in Germany. It sells several brands (Alfa Romeo, Audi, Jaguar, Peugeot, Porsche, etc.) and the group is present all over the country through numerous dealerships. Glinicke is also a major partner in the Bilster Berg Drive Resort opened in June 2013 and every year it organises several test days for its clients on this circuit.

On 23rd and 24th October over two days dedicated to the BBOC, the Bilster Berg Owners Club which brings together the circuit owners, Glinicke presented its first Ligier JS P4 delivered by Ligier Automotive for this occasion. The runs followed one another in quick succession despite pretty unpleasant weather to learn how to get to grips with the car and adapt its settings to the configuration of the circuit. The French constructor was on hand to accompany Glinicke as it familiarised itself with the car and also to present the Ligier JS2 R.

“With its characteristic silhouette in carbon and its 385 bhp, the Ligier JS P4 attracted a lot of attention over these two days,” said Torsten Balk (General Manager of Glinicke Motorsport). “We had our driving instructors test it and numerous drivers who were present at the test day came to find out about the next available test dates. Ligier Automotive which was with us also presented the Ligier JS2 R in the Glinicke Motorsport Hangar. It too attracted a lot of attention!”

It was a successful first operation. In 2022, the links with the French constructor should become stronger. “In 2022, we've decided to have all Glinicke Motorsport's clients discover the Ligier JS P4 over around 15 days of track tests,” added Torsten. “The calendar of these tests will be announced in December. We're also thinking about making the Ligier JS2 R available during these test days.”
