F4 India: Fourth season with the Ligier JS F422

The 2026 Indian Formula 4 Championship season gets underway over the weekend of September 12 at Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore. Organized by Racing Promotions Private Limited, the championship will feature sixteen Ligier JS F422s across the six rounds on the calendar, with a new highlight this season: the first night race on the Mumbai street circuit in November.

Sixteen Ligier JS F422s on the grid

For the new season, F4 India once again relies on the Ligier JS F422. As the championship's official supplier for the fourth consecutive year, Ligier continues to support the development of the young talents competing in the series with a single-seater designed to combine performance, reliability and safety.

The 2026 grid also confirms the championship's international reach, with more than six nationalities represented by drivers from North America, Europe, Australia, Africa and Southeast Asia.

A new event in Mumbai

Among the highlights of the calendar, the 2026 season will feature a new night race on the Mumbai street circuit. It will mark the Indian Formula 4 Championship's first race on a street circuit, following the inaugural night race held in Chennai in 2024.

With its international field and this new nighttime street event, F4 India continues to develop and strengthen its growing presence on the international motorsport scene.
