Ligier JS Cup France: A hard-fought penultimate round at Nogaro with two races!

It was a busy penultimate weekend for the teams and their Ligier JS2 Rs in the Ligier JS Cup France. The drivers battled in two four-hour races on Friday, 29 and Saturday, 30 September. The #9 of Orhès - 2M Promotion finished first overall in race one. The #44 from DB Team Defi took top honours in the Am category. The following day, the #139 of DS/ADX won race two, whilst the #63 Speboff Ligier JS2 R was victorious in the AM category.

• On Friday, 29 September, the #9 Orhès - 2M Promotion Ligier JS2 R (Mickaël Mota and Olivier Pernaut) topped free practice with a lap of 1:33.033s.

• In the afternoon, it was another car from the Orhès squad, the #5 Orhès - Marie 3D (Salim Bouziane, Théo Nouet and Thierry Petit), which secured pole position for race one, with the fastest lap in 1:32.316s.

Race 1:

• The competitors continued with the first four-hour race. For the fifth time this season, the #9 triumphed overall and in the Pro-Am to extend its championship lead. The #139 from DS/ADX finished runner-up ahead of the #4 of Eurodatacar, which claimed its maiden podium result of the season.

• In the Am category, the #44 from DB Team Defi (David Burdet, Lucca Ayari and Léo Boulay) won in its first race of 2023. The #5 of Orhès - Marie 3D finished second ahead of the #61 from SO24 by LADC.

Race 2:

• Race two, also four hours long, started the following day. And it was an outsider who snuck to the top of the podium! In its first weekend in the Ligier JS Cup France, the #139 DS/ADX Ligier JS2 R won ahead of the #9 of Orhès - 2M Promotion. The #4 scored its second podium result of the weekend with another third place.

• In the Am category, the #63 of Speboff (Sylvain Caroff and Vincent Roche) won for the first time this season. The #44 from DB Team Defi, victorious the day before, finished second ahead of the #5 of Orhès - Marie 3D.
