Ligier JS F4 Series, New Jersey: Brad Majman’s remarkable feat
Held at New Jersey Motorsports Park from July 25 to 28, the fourth round of the inaugural Ligier JS F4 Series season saw Australian Brad Majman (#95 Ligier JS F4, Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport) become the first driver in series history to win all three races in a single meeting, his first victories of the season.
Race 1: First win for Brad Majman
- In the opening laps, Brad Majman kept in the wake of poleman Kekai Hauanio (Ligier JS F4 #29, Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport) before closing the gap on him. Hauanio went wide off the track, but still managed to hold on to second place.
- Eighth on the grid, Teddy Musella (Ligier JS F4 #25, Scuderia Buell) gained four positions in the first five laps, before snatching third place from Harbir Dass (Ligier JS F4 #23, Berg DMG Racing) at the end of the race.
“An amazing race,” said Majman on the podium. “I definitely fell back a little bit at the start. Kekai [Hauanio] was really throwing the car around, so I knew my time would eventually come. I just had to wait for the car to come to me, and then I could just drive to where the car was capable of, and this is the result it brought home. [This win feels] just amazing. I know it's only the first race, but it's been a lot of hard work the last eight months transitioning from karts to cars. Hopefully it's the first win of many.”

Race 2: And two for Brad Majman
- Brad Majman handed over the lead to Kekai Hauanio after a neutralization. Halfway through the race, Kekai Hauanio put a wheel off under pressure from the Australian and lost four places.
- Kekai Hauanio managed to climb back into second place. Behind him, third place was up for grabs between Teddy Musella, Harbir Dass, Drew Szuch (Ligier JS F4 #28, Szuch Racing) and Demitri Nolan (Ligier JS F4 #5, Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport).
- Brad Majman won by 3.942 seconds. Harbir Dass took the lead, finishing third ahead of Demitri Nolan and Teddy Musella.
“I got settled into the race after the initial start,” said Majman atop the podium. “Kekai made an amazing move around the outside of me on the safety car restart in Turn 1. Then, I was settling in, just doing what I needed to do, and I was able to capitalize on his mistake out of the chicane. From there, we just brought the car home.”

Race 3: Three for Brad Majman
- Thanks to his best lap in race 2 as in race 1, Brad Majman started from pole position again alongside Kekai Hauanio, who took the lead at the end of the first lap.
- After a neutralization, Kekai Hauanio, Brad Majman, Teddy Musella, Harbir Dass and Maite Caceres (Ligier JS F4 #6, International Motorsport) were wheel-to-wheel. The first three went head-to-head at the exit of Turn 2, and Brad Majman took command ahead of Teddy Musella and Kekai Hauanio.
- Kekai Hauanio moved back into second place on the final lap. His ninth podium of the 2024 season means he now leads the overall standings, with a narrow 3.5-point lead over Teddy Musella.
