IMSA Daytona - Sean Creech Motorsport Ligier JS P320

Double podium for the Ligier JS P320s at the 24 Hours of Daytona

28 – 29 January – The 61st edition of the 24 Hours of Daytona took place this weekend in Florida, USA. After setting the fastest times in all four free practice sessions, the Ligier JS P320s had to cope with a race that was strewn with pit falls. #33 run by Sean Creech Motorsport started from pole and dominated part of the event. But the car ran into electrical problems, which dashed its hopes of victory, and it crossed the line in second place for the third year on the bounce setting the fastest lap in the race in a time of 1m 43.265s. Completing the podium in third position was #38 entered by Performance Tech.

• Riley's #74 Ligier JS P320 topped Free Practice 1 (in 1:42.704s) and Free Practice 2 (in 1:42.491s).

• Andretti Autosport and the #36 led Session 3 (1:42.559s) and Session 4 (1:43.191s).

• During the race, the #33 Sean Creech Motorsport car led the most laps in the LMP3 class (282 of 737 laps).

•  It finished the 24 Hours of Daytona with the fastest lap in 1:43.265s.

• The #33 also won the Michelin Endurance Cup.

• Bitter race for Riley's #74, winner of the 2021 and 2022 editions: after only three hours on track, an engine problem forced the team to retire.
