Ultimate Cup Series: Zosh Compétition clinches a double podium at Navarra!

The Navarra circuit in Spain hosted the second round of the Ultimate Cup Series on 28 - 30 April. French team Zosh Compétition, which is having its first taste of the Ultimate Cup Series and the LMP3 category, scored good results with its #8 and #10 Ligier JS P320s. On Saturday, #10 bagged its first pole position. The next day the team clinched a double podium at the end of the 4-hour race by finishing in second (#8) and third places (#10) .

• This weekend, the lineup in Team Virage's #14 Ligier JS P320 was entirely composed of drivers entered in the Ligier European Series: Briton George King (already at the wheel of the sports prototype at Le Castellet last month), Portuguese Bernardo Pinheiro and Mihnea Stefan from Romania.

• On Saturday 29th April, the #10 Ligier JS P320 run by Zosh Compétition and driven by Jean-René de Fournoux and Hugo Rosati bagged its first pole position. It set the fastest lap in a time of 1:35.224s calculated on the best average in the three qualifying sessions.

• The start was given early the next morning. From fifth place on the grid the #14 Team Virage Ligier JS P320 fought its way to the front and took the lead in both the overall classification and the LMP3 category. But an electrical issue forced the car to pit losing the lead in the process.

• Zosh Compétition finished the 4-hour race with a double podium in the LMP3 category: the #8 Ligier JS P320 driven by Rodolphe and Claude Rosati took the chequered flag in second spot followed by its stable-mate #10 in third. Team Virage's #14 finished just shy of the podium in fourth place.

The next race will take place at Hockenheim on 25 - 28 May.
