1 – 2 for Ligier at Road to Le Mans
The #11 and #33 Ligier JS P3 of Eurointernational and United Autosports imposed themselves at the end of the first of the two Road to Le Mans races. Entered this season in the ELMS, these two Ligier JS P3 joined the field of the Michelin Le Mans Cup for this event.
Starting from pole position, the #11 Ligier JS P3 covered the 13 laps of the race in the lead, widening a gap on its pursuers who were fighting for the 2nd and 3rd steps on the podium. The Italian team crossed the finish line with a lead of more than 19 seconds, claiming a clear victory!
Whereas the #32 United Autosports Ligier JS P3 had a very good first part of the race, it was its sister car, the #33, who took home second place, more than 20 seconds ahead of the #30 DKR Engineering Norma that completed the podium.
The start of the second 2018 Road to Le Mans race will be given on Saturday at 11 o'clock, before the start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans at 3pm.
