BTZ Motorsport wins at Goiânia and takes the lead in the Império Endurance Brasil with its Ligier JS P320!
Saturday 6th May, the #117 Ligier JS P320 run by BTZ Motorsport clinched victory in the second race of the season in Império Endurance Brasil on the Goiânia circuit. This seems to be the team's lucky track as it already won two races there last season. By finishing on the topmost step of the podium, BTZ Motorsport has taken the lead in the championship.
• The #117 BTZ Motorsport Ligier JS P320 driven by Gaetano di Mauro, Guilherme Bottura and Gustavo Kiryla beat another 20 or so competitors in Goiâna, Brazil, after four hours of racing in scorching sunlight.
• In exhausting temperatures (more than 30° in the air) the French LMP3 combined bullet-proof reliability with stunning performance. After spending most of the race in the top 3, the #117 took the lead 20 minutes before the chequered flag fell thanks to Gaetano di Mauro.
• Thanks to this result BTZ Motorsport has taken the lead in the overall championship classification.
• A second Ligier JS P320, #18 entered by FTR Motorsport, has joined the ranks of the entrants in the Império Endurance Brasil.
• It's the Ligier JS P320's third victory in Brazil. Just over a year ago the sports prototype made a scintillating debut in the biggest country in Latin America by winning its first race on this very same circuit with BTZ Motorsport.
The third race on the calendar will take place on the famous Interlagos circuit on 27th May.
