Formula X Racing Weekend launches the new Supersport FX Series with two classes reserved for the Ligier JS P4 and the Ligier JS2 R
Formula X Racing Weekend Press Release - The spectacular Italian championship looks to the future with the new category that will have two classes reserved exclusively for Ligier JS P4 and JS2 R by the prestigious French company Ligier Automotive.
An important innovation is ready to land in Italian motorsport, thanks to a prestigious partnership that promises to give a great show on track during the 2023 season. The new Supersport FX Series will be part of the Formula X Racing Weekend championship from next year, thanks to the new agreement made with Ligier Official Partner LR Dynamic Events.
The cars of the historic French brand, active for over 50 years and with a history of great importance in the world of Formula 1 and endurance racing, will in fact be the absolute protagonists of the series that will see the JS P4 and JS2 R models at the start from 2023 on the main Italian racetracks. Thanks to this agreement, Formula X Racing Weekend will give life to a championship that aims to immediately collect great interest and offer spectacular races.
The Supersport FX Series will see two classes reserved exclusively for French cars at the start. On the one hand, that dedicated to the Ligier JS P4, a sports prototype powered by a Ford V6 3.7 aspirated engine, capable of developing nearly 400 hp of maximum power; on the other hand, the one reserved for the Ligier JS2 R, a car designed exclusively for racing and capable of generating great interest during its first years of activity on the track.
In addition, the new GT Cup class will also be present, which will see all participating cars equipped with a specific Balance of Performance, completing a line-up made up of Prototypes and GTs whose concept will be inspired by the most prestigious endurance competitions. The new partnership will be launched with a category that will be the protagonist in the Formula X Racing Weekend 2023, whose calendar will be announced in the coming days.
