IMSA Airbnb Endurance Challenge: The Ligier JS P325 wins at COTA with Toney Driver Development.

The Ligier JS P325 claimed its first victory in the new IMSA Airbnb Endurance Challenge. In the second round of the season, held on May 9, 2026, at Circuit of The Americas, the #95 Toney Driver Development Ligier JS P325, shared by Wyatt Brichacek and Titus Sherlock, won the two-hour race after a controlled performance. The #77 Forte Racing Ligier JS P325, driven by Patrick Kujala and Brian Thienes, finished second, giving the French constructor a one-two finish.

The #95 Toney Driver Development Ligier JS P325 at the front

From the start of the race, Titus Sherlock, the 2025 FR Americas Champion at the wheel of the Ligier JS F3 and the 2023 F4 U.S. Championship Vice Champion with a Ligier JS F4, placed the #95 Toney Driver Development Ligier JS P325 in the lead group. The American driver ran in second position for most of his first stint.

The minimum drive time window opened after 40 minutes of racing, allowing teams to change drivers during the first of the two mandatory pit stops. Toney Driver Development chose to extend Sherlock's stint by around 20 additional minutes before executing a decisive strategy.

A winning strategy for Toney Driver Development

Approaching mid-race, the #95 Toney Driver Development Ligier JS P325 came into the pits for fuel and handed over to Wyatt Brichacek. One lap later, the team brought the car back in for fresh Michelin tires and to fulfill the two-stop requirement.

This back-to-back pit stop strategy proved decisive. Brichacek stayed on pace, waited patiently in second position, then inherited the lead when his rivals made their own second stops.

Once in front, the American driver controlled the final 30-plus minutes of the race and crossed the finish line with a 36.713-second advantage.

Wyatt Brichacek remains unbeaten at COTA in 2026.

This victory confirms Wyatt Brichacek's success at Circuit of The Americas this season. Already a winner of both IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge sprint races held in February on COTA's National Course with the #30 Toney Driver Development Ligier JS P325, he won again, this time on the full 3.4-mile layout.

Forte Racing second with the #77 Ligier JS P325

The performance of the Ligier JS P325 continued on the second step of the podium. The #77 Forte Racing Ligier JS P325, driven by Patrick Kujala and Brian Thienes, finished second in the race and first among the Bronze Cup entries.

After its second-place finish in the opening round at Sebring, the crew claimed a second consecutive podium in the IMSA Airbnb Endurance Challenge and confirmed its consistency in the new LMP3 endurance format.

The Ligier JS P325 confirms its pace in the United States.

With victory for the #95 Toney Driver Development Ligier JS P325 and second place for the #77 Forte Racing Ligier JS P325, Ligier placed two cars on the podium in the second round of the IMSA Airbnb Endurance Challenge at COTA.

The result confirms the competitiveness of the Ligier JS P325 in North America, both in sprint formats and endurance races.

IMSA LMP3 competitors will first return to the VP Racing SportsCar Challenge for two sprint races at Mid-Ohio on June 6 and 7. The next IMSA Airbnb Endurance Challenge round will take place on June 21 at Virginia International Raceway.
