TTE Pirelli Series: overall victory and podium for the Ligier JS2 R at Le Castellet!
The #64 Extrême Limite Ligier JS2 R racks up victory no.2! After scoring its first win of the season in the opening round at Lédenon, the GT put on another stunning performance by clinching overall victory in the third race on the TTE Pirelli Series calendar at Le Castellet on 17 June, as well as winning the JS2 R Trophy. TM Evolution's #666 finished third overall.
• The #64 Ligier JS2 R driven by Marc Bonnet and Benjamin Redeais qualified third in the overall classification and first in the JS2 R Trophy with a lap in 2:17.756s.
• The start of the 4-hour race was given on Saturday 17th June. The #64 Ligier JS2 R battled with another car for the lead for a long time. The suspense was at its height. Finally, the Ligier JS2 R opened up a gap and went on to score its second victory of the season after winning at Lédenon in the opening round of the championship. It secured victory in the overall classification as well as first place in the JS2 R Trophy.
• TM Evolution's #666 crewed by Christophe Feret, Jean Laget and Fabien Greffrath came home third overall, while #99 entered by Of Course Compétition with Manu Roeckel-Zimpfer, Nicolas Neis and Luc Remmy finished just shy of the podium. In the JS2 R Trophy they clinched second and third places respectively.
• The #64 Ligier JS2 R tops the timesheets in the overall classification in the championship with 410 points giving it a 60-point lead. It also holds first place in the JS2 R Trophy with 80 points in hand over Of Course Compétition's #99.
