Ligier JS F4 Series: Fierce competition at Road America
The second round of the Ligier JS F4 Series, held at Road America in Wisconsin from 17 to 19 May, featured three hotly contested races won by two drivers from the Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport team.
Having already won race 2 at NOLA Motorsport Park, Kekai Hauanio (#29, Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport) took his second win at Road America, where team-mate Bacon Zelenka (#45, Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport) scored his first two Ligier JS F4 Series victories.
Race 1: Zelenka takes victory after a long duel with Majman.
- There was an intense battle between pole-sitter Teddy Musella (#25, Scuderia Buell), Zelenka and Brad Majman (#95, Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport). They kept swapping positions as they overtook each other on the slipstream.
- Zelenka won by just a few centimetres from Majman. Musella snatched third place from Hauanio. “We were giving each other some space and allowing everyone to stay together”, said the winner.

Race 2: Hauanio moves up from last to first place!
- Starting from twelfth and last on the grid, Hauanio made a superb comeback to take second place by the third lap.
- Musella extended his lead to five seconds. As they chased each other, Hauanio and Zelenka caught up with the leading #25 Ligier JS F3 and with less than five minutes to go, Hauanio took command on the pit straight.
- At the start of the final lap, an attempt by Zelenka to overtake Musella ended in contact which gave the podium to Christopher Parrish (#83, IGY6 Motorsport) and Jake Pollack (#1, JENSEN).

Race 3: Seventh win for Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport
- Third on the grid and then comfortable leader until the first neutralisation, Hauanio came under pressure from Maite Caceres (#6, International Motorsport) on the restart, who eventually took the lead. But she was eventually overtaken by Hauanio, Majman and Zelenka.
- The three drivers were wheels-to-wheels in the final straight. Zelenka prevailed over Majman and Hauanio.
- Fourth-placed Caceres regained third place when Majman was penalised for contact with Hauanio on the final lap and scored his first Ligier JS F4 Series podium.
